Ohio took over Backyard in November 2020 when it was bleeding money with drunk staff and a bad reputation. He spent three years rebuilding everything. Today the restaurant achieves 52% staff retention while the industry averages 25%, and won the 2025 Margarita Festival with cocktails made using DIBS Mixers, his nationally distributed syrup company. He consults for restaurants across Texas and serves on the Alamo Area Hospitality Association board. Proving the industry can be better.
